First day of the ACC Tournament always gets me pumped!
I am now a Big Ten guy, but I grew in Raleigh from 1980-1990 and even as a lad, I got so fired up for the ACC Tournament. I hated UNC so much back then. That was always the question in school: State or Carolina?
As my dad taught at NCSU and I went to all the football and basketball games, I was a die-hard N.C. State fan. This was back in the days of Chris Corchiani, Rodney Monroe, Tommy Gugliotta and Charles Shackleford.
If you leave out the Big Ten comment, all of that applies to me except I stayed in the area and went to college at State and still live here now. I also still hate Carolina with a passion and appreciate anyone who can understand that hatred!
